Our Labels Explained
Vegan
- When we say vegan, we mean entirely plant-powered. No meat, dairy, eggs, honey, or gelatin.
Vegetarian
- When we say vegetarian, we mean no meat, poultry, or seafood. Dairy and eggs are welcome.
Mediterranean
- Mediterranean means how they eat around the Mediterranean Sea - loads of vegetables, olive oil, wholegrains, legumes, fish, and herbs. Less red meat, more plants, all the flavour.
Paleo
- Paleo, means eating like our ancestors did - meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. No grains, legumes, dairy, or processed foods.
Keto
- Keto, we mean very low carb and high in healthy fats. For those chasing that metabolic switch.
Low-FODMAP
- When we say low-FODMAP, we mean avoiding certain foods that can trigger digestive discomfort - like onion, garlic, wheat, and some legumes and fruits. Gentle on your gut, kind to your system.
Low-Carb
- When we say low-carb, we mean minimal carbohydrates - 5g or less per 100g. For those who've chosen a lower-carb way of eating, whatever your why.
Low-Sodium
- Low-sodium, means our tastemakers have gone easy on the salt and keep it to 120mg or less per 100g.
High-Protein
- High-protein, means our producers have packed in the good stuff and ensure there's at least 10g of protein per 100g.
Dairy-Free
- Means no milk, cheese, butter, cream, or anything that comes from a cow, goat, or sheep. For those with lactose intolerance, dairy allergies, or choosing to skip the moo juice.
Nut-Free
- When we say nut-free, we mean our tastemakers ensure no tree nuts (like almonds, cashews, or walnuts) or peanuts are used in their product and zero cross-contamination. A must for those allergic to nuts.
- As with any product, please always triple-check the label before consuming.
Refined-Sugar-Free
- Refined-sugar-free, means no white sugar, brown sugar, or processed sweeteners. Our producers may use natural alternatives like honey, maple syrup, or fruit - but nothing that's been through a refinery.
Onion-Free
- Onion-free, means zero onions in any form - no raw, cooked, powdered, or hidden in stock. Essential for low-FODMAP diets and onion-sensitive tummies.
Garlic-Free
- Garlic-free, means no garlic whatsoever - fresh, dried, powdered, or lurking in seasoning blends. A must-have for low-FODMAP eating and those who react to garlic.
Gluten-Free
- Gluten-free, means zero wheat, barley, rye, or any gluten-containing grains – and zero cross-contamination. A must-have for coeliac disease and gluten sensitivity.

Just As Perfect
- Just As Perfect, that's what we call produce that's all flavour, nutrition, and quality—just uniquely shaped. Our tastemakers gather this produce up and turn it into all these wonderful products—same goodness inside, and just as perfect on the outside. Perfect.
Organic
- When we say organic, we mean grown and processed without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or GMOs - certified. The real deal.
Bee-Friendly
- When we say bee-friendly, we means our taste makers choose practices and ingredients that protect and support bees and other pollinators. From bee-loving plants and thoughtful farming to products that care for skin without harming hives, every choice is made with pollinator health in mind.
Regenerative Farm
- Regenerative farming, means farming that actively heals the land. Our producers use practices that actively restore soil health, increase biodiversity, and capture carbon —turning every harvest into a step towards a healthier planet.
Grey-Water-Safe
- Grey‑water‑safe, means products that are suitable for greywater systems and won’t harm your soil, plants, or waterways when the water is recycled. They’re made with biodegradable, non‑toxic ingredients that go back to the earth gently and safely.
Ocean-Friendly
- When we say ocean-friendly, we mean produced with practices that protect ocean health - whether through sustainable fishing, reducing plastic pollution, or avoiding harmful runoff. Good for the sea, good for the future.
Home Compostable
- Means packaging that breaks down completely in your backyard compost bin. It returns to the earth as nutrients without leaving microplastics or toxins behind. Soil to soil, full circle.
Zero-Waste
- Means packaging designed so nothing ends up in landfill. It's fully compostable, recyclable, reusable, or a combination—every piece has a plan for what happens next.
Plastic-Free
- Means absolutely zero plastic. Our producers have chosen to use paper, glass, metal, or plant-based alternatives instead.
Recyclable
- Means packaging that can be processed through your local council recycling system. Check your council guidelines, pop it in the right bin -give it another life.
Reusable
- We mean packaging designed to be used again and again—not thrown away after one use. Whether it's a jar you can refill, a container you can return, or packaging you can repurpose, it's built to stick around.
Palm Oil Free
- Palm‑oil‑free means our producers have consciously chosen other oils instead of palm oil and its derivatives. In doing so avoiding destructive impacts of conventional palm oil production, helping protect rainforests and the animals that call them home.
No Numbers or Additives
- When we say no numbered additives, we mean none of those mysterious codes on the ingredients list—no 202s, 211s, or any other numbered preservatives, colors, or flavor enhancers. Just real ingredients you can recognize and pronounce. What you see is what you get.
